What this tool does
The generator handles any format — five from fifty with two extras, six from forty-nine, whatever your draw uses — and next to the numbers it shows the figure that matters more than the numbers do: how many different lines exist. Five from fifty with two stars is about 140 million combinations, which is one way of saying that a line a week would take roughly two and a half million years.
Formula
combinations = C(n, k) · with extra numbers, multiply by those of the second draw

Frequently asked questions
Do some numbers come up more often?
No. Every ball is equally likely on every draw, and past results carry no information about the next one. What does change is how much you would share a prize: picking 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or a set of birthdays means picking what thousands of other people pick. Choosing numbers above 31 does not improve your chance of winning, only your chance of not splitting it.
