What this tool does
Payroll systems want decimal hours, humans read hours and minutes, and this gives both from the same entry. Night shifts are handled: if the end time is earlier than the start, the calculator assumes the shift crosses midnight.

Limitations
- Dates are handled as calendar dates. Time zones, daylight saving changes and public holidays are not taken into account.
