Titration Calculator

Unknown concentration from a titration, plus the moles and the mass of analyte in the sample.

Results

Molarity 0.094000 mol/L
Amount of substance 0.00235000 mol
Mass 0.141122 g
Concentration 5.64489 g/L

What this tool does

The valence factors are the number of protons or electrons each species exchanges: one for hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide, two for sulfuric acid and calcium hydroxide. Leaving them at one when they should be two is the single most common titration error, and it halves or doubles the answer.

Formula

Ca × Va × na = Cb × Vb × nb

Limitations

  • For work that must comply with a standard or be signed off, check the result against the applicable code and have it reviewed by a qualified engineer.
  • Mixing units is the most common source of error. Convert every input to the units shown next to each field before calculating.
