What this tool does
Almost all the electricity goes into heating the water, which is why a 30 °C wash costs roughly a third of a 60 °C one while cleaning ordinary laundry just as well. Detergent is often the largest single item on the list — worth checking against the dose on the box, because most people use more than the water hardness calls for.
Formula
cost = energy × price + water × price + detergent

Limitations
- The result is an estimate based only on the values you type. Real situations often include factors this calculator does not know about.
- The tool works with whatever currency you use for the inputs; it does not convert between currencies.
- The default values are typical reference figures, not measurements of your situation. Replace them with your own data whenever you have it.
