What this tool does
Degrees are what people read; radians are what mathematics and programming languages use. Every trigonometric function in a spreadsheet or a programming library expects radians, which is the single most common cause of a trigonometry result being wrong by a factor nobody can explain. Gradians (400 to a full turn) survive in surveying, and milliradians are used in optics and ballistics.
