What this tool does
Sometimes you need to see a month rather than think about it — planning a rota, counting the Tuesdays, checking whether the last day falls on a weekend. Pick a year and a month and this page draws it out, with the week starting wherever your part of the world starts it. The counts below tell you how many working days it holds, which is the figure that matters when quoting a deadline in days rather than dates.
Formula
draws the month on a seven-column grid, starting from the weekday the 1st falls on

Frequently asked questions
Does it know about public holidays?
No, and it would be wrong to pretend otherwise. Public holidays differ by country, by region and sometimes by town, several of them move each year with Easter, and governments add and remove them. Any list built into a page would be out of date somewhere the day it was written. The working-day count here is simply the days that are not Saturday or Sunday; subtract your own holidays from it.
