What this tool does
Newton's second law in its everyday form. The third result is the weight, which is simply the force the same mass experiences under gravity — the reason a 100 kg object presses down with about 981 newtons whether it is accelerating or not.
Formula
F = m × a
Variables
| Symbol | Meaning | Unit |
|---|---|---|
m | Mass | kg |
a | Acceleration | m/s² |

Limitations
- Mixing units is the most common source of error. Convert every input to the units shown next to each field before calculating.
- The formula assumes ideal conditions: no friction losses, no air resistance and no efficiency losses unless you enter them.
