What this tool does
Since the 2019 revision of the SI, the mole is defined by fixing the Avogadro constant at exactly 6.022 140 76 × 10²³ particles, so counting particles and counting moles are now the same operation with no measured constant in between. Laboratory work tends to live in millimoles and micromoles rather than moles, and biochemistry often in nanomoles, which is where the prefixes here earn their keep.
